The 2025 Vision for Wellington panel discussion series brought speakers together to explore new directions for Wellington’s future. The organisers wanted a way to capture the conversations live, keeping the audience engaged during the event while creating quality assets to share online afterward.
Making memorable experiences: For the Creative Conversation panel the event was held at Toi Whakaari and broadcast to a wider audience via a live stream on Stuff.
I was invited by my long-time mentor and expert experience designer, Gareth Parry, to help capture the panel's insights live on large whiteboards. Working side-by-side allowed us to map out the fast-moving conversation in real time, creating a visual backdrop that engaged the physical audience and popped beautifully on the digital live stream. The audience were able to view and photograph the visuals afterwards.

The flexibility of digital: At the Startup panel discussion in the same series, I worked on an iPad to capture the key moments and big ideas in real time as the discussion unfolded. My screen was projected live so the audience could watch the illustration come to life. The final digital canvas provided a vibrant, tangible summary for attendees and gave the client instant visual content for social media and event documentation.
